Finales

I had been wanting to draw a Fantasia-like centaurette for a while. Granted, she's not a Freddie Moore girl. But Centaurettes are clearly Fantasia. :)

Gracias a la clase de cine! :D

At the beginning of Cinema Class this semester, the professor assigned us to define who we'd like to be as a character in a movie. I chose to be a kind of Glen Close in 'Dangerous Liaisons' sort of evil character - someone who could manipulate you and be mortal with a killer poodle and yet seem civilized and refined - like the killer poodle.

He never saw this drawings. He only asked for an essay - but it was fun to do. I like her dress.

Lo que hacía mientras se hacían los dormidos

...have I already posted this? :D

I always thought of finishing this and coloring it, but for some reason I've finally ended loving it as it is: with the upper branches as just lines and the sketchiness of the grays in it...

...would you look at my technical artist vocabulary? "Sketchiness"... XD

A lo mejor me hace falta ir a nadar...

Yes, I've been on a mermaid rush lately but this one's actually a year, or a year and a half old. I just painted her sister for a commission where I was asked to do "a very similar piece" - so I'll try and post it later.

I don't know if it's just me, but there's something very interesting in the shapes mermaids can take and how they work with the whole composition/line-action business. Hence, I seem to be in love with drawing mermaids.

I'll also try to get a better picture of this piece. Yep yep.

Trabajando!

I've been meaning to finish this drawing for quite a while now - but I'm very happy with the way it turned up!

Funny - Ariel's never been my favorite Disney character, but she's certainly one of my favorites to draw.

I'm currently enrolled in my thesis - I can't believe I'm graduating on December... a part of me wants to stay in the safety of school forever - the other half wants to finish and see what happens next. Of course, I know what I'd love to happen... ;)

Ana en acrílico

Natalie Dormer/Anne Boleyn as a Christmas gift for my brother. I can't believe how much he fancies that girl!!!

...no wait, I can.

This actually became my passport to my first on-line comission, so now I have to paint another Anne Boleyn. Not that I mind, though.
